Yep, that's it. Our house has sold. The buyer wants a FAST settlement and we are looking at 2 weeks left and that's about it! We are all excited and ready to go. We've waited almost a year and a half for this! First without daddy, but this time, we will ALL leave together, and we will all be ok! God has taken us this far and we KNOW he will be faithful and take us all the way.
As of the 28th of February, we will no longer live at our current address, so please don't send us stuff. If you want us or need us, FACEBOOK us or email us!!!! We will have our cell phones until around March 14th. After that? See ya...........
Roy has put in his 2 weeks notice and now I have also. The kids last day will be February 25th. Mom will homeschool them until they officially start in Norway. (No telling when or if they will start as soon as we get over there because there is only 2 months left of school.) Rebecca reads on a 4th grade level, so she's just fine and doing well with writing. Needs help with math, but other than that, she's our little genius!
Matthew? Well, he'll need some work on his writing and reading and definitely his speech. His speech therapist will give me stuff to work on and I also know where to get some books at Educate and Celebrate (a teacher's store). I'll have my hands full, but we'll be just fine.
Good thing we are going because Matthew's teeth are LOOSE. Yes, I said loose. His surgery in Norway will be free, so this is GREAT news! Just need to get the doctor's caught up with him and what has happened to him in the past years. (From China to now.)
Charlie? Well, he will go to my brother's house this weekend. We'll all miss our Charlie Bear, but we love him and know he will be in good hands and will be well taken care of. Our Charlie bear! Kids are sad we won't have him anymore, but they understand why. (He'd have to be in quarintine for 4 months and with his hip dysplasia, wouldn't be good.)
Our 2 kitties are looking for homes, so if anyone will have them, please let me know!!! They are just couch potatoes! Cool, nice, couch potatoes.
Other than that, we are waiting on the movers, packing some more, and getting 4 suitcases ready to go. Time's a ticking and we have lots to do. YEAH BABY! NORWAY!

Lots going on...............time for an update.
Well, where do we start first? Let's start with the house. Not selling at the moment. Kinda depressing to be honest with you. But we wait. Daddy waits too. Not to sure how much we can keep this up, but we'll see. Plans haven't changed, mind you, just not going as quick as we thought they would.
Matthew had ear surgery July 23rd at Children's National Medical Center. It was pretty much in and out surgery. He had a hard time waking up this time, but he did, ate his 2 popsicle's, went potty and we were out the door. As soon as he was "up", he heard me whisper to him. (which he couldn't hear before) I know the tubes are working, it's just, WHY do we need to keep doing this! This is his second pair of tubes. They did the surgery again, because he was losing his hearing at a very alarming rate! (like within 2 months) The doctor said she wasn't waiting any longer. So there we went. Mommy, Matthew and Aunt Kim. Got lost in DC, but that's another story! Matthew's doing well now. He hears pretty well now also. We will go back for another hearing test end of August. Hopefully, the tubes will be working and he will pass with flying colors! If not, I kinda know what is next, and I'm not really looking forward to it. (most likely, hearing aid) I mean, if it works for him, then by all means, let's do it, but.............I'm really hoping the tubes work!!!
Rebecca? Hmmmm, miss diva is her normal self. During her normal things. Getting into the normal stuff to be in trouble! LOL..........what else is new? Right? Na, honestly, she does get herself in trouble, but she's happy to be going into the First Grade and reading?! Oh my gosh............(giving mommy headaches now) she's reading everything on tv, on ads, on newspapers, oh my gosh............yep, can't even switch the clicker on the tv because she KNOWS/reads that it says, HANNAH MONTANA, or DORA THE EXPLORER, or worse yet........Zack and Cody! Ahhhhhhhhh! Ok, I'm better now.
Yes, I am the mom of a First grader and a Kindergartener! (sigh)
Life is treating us ok for the moment. We struggle with things every once in while, but God's seeing us through. I'm honestly waiting when my family is put back together again. That is my joy forthcoming.

Been awhile, I know.............Yes, we are moving to Norway!
Yes, one of us is already there. The rest of us are waiting for our house to sell. Praying/pleading/begging for our house to sell. It's been almost one month since daddy left for Norway. Alot has happened. The house is 3/4's packed up. We are about to have one massive yard sale this Saturday. Lots of kid stuff.
Daddy is doing well. His new job in Norway is going very well. They are truly taking care of him. He has a company car, laptop, cellphone, new equipment, GPS, I mean, good grief..........talk about a company who cares for its employees. Wow. I'm thankful. Daddy is also staying with the owner of the company until end of July. (his own little apartment) God's truly taking care of him. I'm so thankful.
Here in the US? Me and the kids are patiently waiting for our house to sell. Anyone, please buy our house! We've come so darn close to selling it, but no deal yet. It was between our house and another house and the lady picked the other house. Darn. We'd be outta here already. But............God wants us here for some reason. I don't know what, but I really want to go. I'm tired of being here without my whole family. The kids end of school is coming up in 2 weeks, so after that, I'm so ready to go! Please......Lord.
Things were moving so quickly, and now they are standing still. I'm so ready to go. The kids are ready to go. We did find a home for one of our cats. We still have 2 left (a brother/sister) and a blind yellow lab. I can't just leave them with anyone! I need to know they will be loved. I really do.
Pray for us, there is still alot to accomplish. Work is hectic, as usual. I'm so ready to go!!!! I just want to go already. Call me crazy, I don't care, but I'm ready. As far as I'm concerned, this life in the US is done. We have alot to look forward to in Norge!

Bragging on Becca

Today Rebecca was singing up in front of the church with the children's choir. They were so cute! There is a video and pictures. I have to wait until they are released and then I'll put them up. They did all of the worship and 2 extra songs! (5 songs) They were so neat. Becca did all the hand movements and knew all the words. She did very well. Alot of the kids weren't even paying attention to the leader, but Rebecca was. She is so attentive and focused when something like this happens. She is a little perfectionist. UGH! Was hoping she didn't get that from me, but maybe I rubbed off a little bit. *darn*

Ok, inquiring minds want to know............apparently
I haven't been updating this blog to much because I forgot the password. Now that I've found it......we'll see. You can definitely find us on facebook! BY ALL MEANS! ;o)
It's February, nothing going on except SNOW! And too much of it. I've had enough. The kids haven't mind you, but hey, when I was a kid, I couldn't get enough of it either.
No pics just yet. Rebecca is learning like crazy. I can't even keep up with her. She is reading at a First Graders level. Reading level 2 and 3 books at the moment. Pretty impressive. She's doing First Grade Math also. She's got money down pat! I tell you, a born shopper. Didn't have to teach her anything. Must be the "girl" aspect of it.
Matthew? Well, he's learning too. He's in PreK, doing well. Had an IEP session for him and alot of things were changed. cognitively he's doing wonderful. Speech wise? He's fallen behind a little bit, which worries me. He's not making some sounds that a 2 or 3 year old can make. He has a real hard time with D's, S's, M's, N's, CH's, SH's, TH's, F's, etc. We've turned his IEP inside and out to be able to allow extra time to learn these sounds. Yes, it has EVERYTHING to do with his palate.
Hmmm, any news on the BIG news? Not just yet, but there are good signs. Trust me, as soon as we get the "big" okie dokie, you'll know and learn what we are about to do. (Some of you already know...........boogers!)
Other than that, just working, packing, making lots of lists, and watching snow.... either by melting, falling from the sky, or shoveling it. Ugh..........enough.
Later.......Momma Kooky

Sincere Apologies!
To everyone who has emailed, called, posted on their own blogs about us, etc. etc., I apologize for not posting in such a long time. One good reason though. Our laptop's motherboard has died! I'm using a friend's computer to do this posting.
Update on the kids:
First day of school has gone very well. Rebecca loves school and is having fun. She's actually a little bored with school. Don't worry, we've already spoken with her teacher about this and it was mentioned that possibly Rebecca might change classes with an "accelerated" kindergarten class. We'll see. She's smart. I tell ya. Both in deed and in education. She's already reading, already writing, doing reading comprehension with story timelines and doing spelling words. Most of these things are at a First Grade level. Again, we'll see if she gets moved up. I have reservations about it.
Matthew? He likes school. At least he did. We are having problems with the other kids understanding Matthew, which I thought might be a problem, but didn't really "fret" about it. Well, in talking with his new speech therapist, it's now a problem. He is starting up speech immediately on Tuesdays and Fridays. The teachers understand him plain as day. It's the other kids who have problems. We are working on that.
Mom and Dad are working away. Surviving, no courses for anyone at the moment. Taking a break and gearing up for a Norwegian visit coming soon. It's Roy's mom. We are totally excited about her coming to the USA. This will be her second visit in about 5 years? Yeah, about 5 years. She will stay with us from before the Thanksgiving holiday to after New Year's! Rebecca is ready to see her again. Matthew? Well, he's a little intimidated by her only because he hasn't seen her yet. He doesn't know what to expect. He'll love her. She'll love him. This will be the best Christmas EVER!
Pray for me, Momma Kooky. My job. Just stressful. Pray for provision, promotion and protection! Please.......Same for Roy too.
Well, since we are on someone else's machine, i don't want to take up too much time. Pictures will come......they will. Just be patient. We are trying to get our pc downstairs in working order for the internet. Bye for now..........((hugs))
