I told you yesterday that we would post pictures of the rooms that the kids will be sleeping in and here they are. Hopefully they are clear enough for you to get some ideas of your own.
Jeg sa i går at vi skulle legge opp bilder av rommene til ungene og her er de. Forhåpentligvis er de gode nok til å gi dere egne ideer for deres barne rom.

Hi everyone. Thanks for inviting us to follow your posts. Matthew is a handsome young man, isn't he? Do they let you take pictures of his town and the rest of your adventures in China? I know it is hard sometimes to get these pictures onto a blog. Another great place which is free (up to a point) is flickr.com. I posted pictures there and after a while bought into a premium package for about $25 -- but there is plenty of room on the free site for you for this purpose
Hello Peter and Barbara. Yes, we think Matthew is simply handsome beyond handsome! His lip repair (uncorrected cleft palate III degree) in China is VERY good considering. I'm not sure if it was Love Without Boundaries or another surgery oriented charity that fixed it but it's an AWESOME job! Yes, we can put more pictures of China and his hometown on the blog, once we get to China. I'm looking forward to that. Thanks for telling us about flickr.com.
Just waiting on that TRAVEL APPROVAL from the Chinese Government. It'll be 90 days as of TOMORROW!!!!! *ugh*
Kristen (Matthew's mommy)
We are at day 90 for our daughter from Nanchang, Jiangxi. The wait is getting worse by the minute! Loved the photos of the kids rooms and hope that TA comes your way (and ours, too!) this week.
Take care,
Julie and family

Oops...I meant day 80 in the TA wait! It sure seems like 90, though! :)

Julie,
Our first daughter was from Nanchang, Jiangxi! Small world! She's a pistol! LOL Most of them are. Hope your ready. Day 80 does seem like day 90, but I tell ya, we are headed towards the CENTURY club and I'm NOT happy about it!
Ask away if you need/want to know something about Nanchang. PLEASE go see the SUPERWALMART in downtown Nanchang.
Kristen (Matthew's mommy)
Kristen, I would love to hear more about Nanchang!! I have been to the SuperWalmart in Changsha and wow...there is nothing like it. :) Did you stay at the Gloria? Any advice on good places to visit/eat/shop while in Nanchang?
Julie
Julie,
We stayed at the Lakeview Hotel. It was away from alot of things in town but it had a bowling alley next to it. (lots of families went there with their families for fun) I liked that hotel. Nice clean rooms with a view over the water!
Shopping??? The Walmart was an eye opener if you ever saw one! Not like Walmart's here. If I tell you one thing, go downtown to shop and barter w/the people. That's funny! Also, go to the little village where your daughter might have grown up in. Truly humbling! Sad, deplorable conditions but the people welcome you in their homes as if you are royalty! I know alot of our group gave them yuans because we felt so bad for them.
That's off the top of my head for now. Here's to TAs!!!!!!!!!!
Kristen
